SUMMARY

Enters data into computer and works with others to maintain correct information by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

 

  • Responsible for monitoring job cost information
  • Works with Controller and Estimators to review and analyze costs on individual projects as requested
  • Maintains inventory information (quantities, pricing, etc)
  • Works with plant personnel to resolve questions
  • Works with Operations to create tracking for unusual items (inventory delivered directly to job sites)
  • Prepares and mails/remits contract billings
  • Works with Estimators to review billings information (especially on per quantity contracts), resolve discrepancies
  • Responsible for uploading jobs to Viewpoint and set them up in JWS
  • Prepares documents regarding contracts (WIP), inventory and billings as requested by outside auditors
  • Prepares the Pre-Qualification reports for INDOT and KYTC
  • Prepares the monthly Fuel Tax reports
  • Prepare price escalations when required by contract, update monthly , and communicate any changes with the customer

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.  Draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
