About the role

 

We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Production Planner  to join our Sales team based in Buggenhout, Belgium 

Purpose of the position

 

The production planner is a very important key function in the Supply Chain. You are responsible for the daily detailed capacity planning based on use of materials, people and machines; both for standard stock items as well as customer specific items. Responsible for daily stand-up meeting to evaluate this capacity planning with procurement, production, logistics and sales pointing out possible bottlenecks in order to take the right actions with all the teams.

As a planner you are using your creativity, analytical and communication skills to obtain the planning objectives.

 

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Creating and updating daily capacity production planning so that optimum results are achieved.
You prepare the daily planning for the various production departments and report any deviations/bottlenecks
You seek the right balance between planning and capacity in consultation with the plant managers and the production supervisors
You are responsible for the daily monitoring of planning progress and report any deviations to procurement, production, logistics and sales.
You ensure proactive communication with all internal stakeholders on whether or not to complete orders faster
You see opportunities for operational and process improvements :
oDefining the standard and repetitive items together with production management.
oHelping with the entry of parts lists and routings for standard and repetitive items.
oHelping to improve the use of the current ERP system CIM2000

Support the data management of all kinds of data (reorder points, BOM structure,…)

By anticipating potential volume changes that may affect contracts and/or agreements with suppliers, in consultation with purchase.
Back-up order entry.
 
Key functional competencies
You like to immerse yourself in processes.
Experience within Production planning , logistics and/or supply chain.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Negotiation and analytical skills are an added value
Technical training or practical experience in a technical environment. ills
Good Microsoft (Excel, Power BI) and ERP skills
Language: Dutch, French and English speaking are mandatory
