Job Title: CNC Technician (EPFB400)

Basic Function: Operate and maintain CNC equipment while producing parts to satisfy production schedules. Demonstrate commitment to all safety & quality policies, programs and initiatives. Support leads and management in their overall goals and improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Performs dimensional inspection of product as required.

• Monitors and changes cutting tools (inserts) as needed.

• Loads and unloads products.

• Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machinery.

 • Enters commands to title and store programs in computer memory and build and maintain source files.

• Adjust feed rate and speed, utilizing knowledge of numerical-control machine operation.

• Enters computer commands to retrieve stored parts data and programs.

 • Reviews shop orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements.

• Calculates and codes machine controlling criteria, such as axis movement, type and size of cutting and drilling tools, spindle location, machining start

• Utilize resources to perform CNC functions in a safe manner at all times

• Perform any additional duties that are assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and skill set to set-up and run CNC equipment

• Ability to foresee changes relevant to area of responsibility

• Ability to organize work assignments to ensure efficient operations of CNC machining environment.

• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

• Able to read fabrication drawings/blueprints and familiar with measuring for accuracy with tape measure and calipers

• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

• Able to write and do basic math

• Basic computer skills or willing to learning.

• Must be able to work well with others

• Punctual and excellent attendance

• Able to stand on feet from 8-10 hours a day.
