Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, is searching for an experienced, reliable, CDL Class A driver for our Terrell, Texas facility. The driver will transport metal products to local and out of state customers with a company assigned vehicle (straight truck or F350 - with Gooseneck or flatbed). Driving distance can be up to a 400-mile radius. Regular work schedule is Monday- Friday (1-3 overnights per week), home every weekend. This position offers a consistent and year-round schedule transporting metal products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Handle and load/unload metal products, secure the load, make multiple deliveries, and provide excellent customer service
  • Promote safety by inspecting delivery sites to ensuring a safe environment to unload by following best practices for safety.
  • Unloading could include handling loose, crated and racked metal and assorted products
  • Verify product quantities before and during delivery
  • Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs and truck performance forms
  • Electronically log hours of service and all other assigned necessary paperwork
  • Comply with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
  • Occasionally help shipping department load trucks
  • Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job




  • At least 23 years old
  • Valid Class A license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to obtain a medical examiner's certificate of physical qualification
  • At least two (2) years of verifiable, incident free driving a class A truck
  • Clean driving record over the last three years with no tickets or accidents (no major traffic violations on driving record)
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public as well as law enforcement to understand traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Have the ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements and properly read and use a tape measure
  • Ability to handle varying road, traffic and weather conditions
  • Satisfy all federal, state, and local government requirements
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record as dictated in the company standards document
  • Meet all DOT requirements


Physical Requirements


  • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted as needed
