Material Handler Operator (EPMP302)

We are currently seeking a Material Handler for our plant operations in Terrell, Texas.  If you have a desire to learn and grow in a team environment then Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® could be a great place for your career. 

Basic Function:
This position is responsible for transferring and delivering extruded aluminum and other materials throughout the facility. It is also responsible for quality inspection of the material.


  • One year of forklift experience required
  • One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility
  • Must be able to learn material handling documentation process
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate information regarding paperwork and labels - Verify labels on product to ensure material is moved to the correct location
  • Able to use a hand pallet jack and motorized pallet jack to move material
  • Strong communication skills
  • Takes initiative and prioritizes requirements for the work day
  • Assist with general housekeeping in the work areas department
  • Follow verbal and basic written instructions
  • Can work in a team environment
  • Must have flexible work availability to work "off shift" or overtime as required
  • Must be able to adapt to constant change
  • Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

Physical Requirements

  • Operate an overhead crane to move material
  • Must be able to constantly bend, squat, reach, lift and push
  • Ability to push/pull/lift/carry 10-50 lbs constantly, 51-100 lbs frequently, and 75 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to perform a two person lift of boxes weighing up to 150 pounds
  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
  • Ability to visually inspect boxed aluminum for a quality and accurate shipment
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
