Job Summary

Support the Terrell Metal Processing Department Managers, Supervisors and Employees through being available to assist with administrative functions on the plant floor regarding continuous improvement, safety, training, HRIS and other MP support systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and promote safe work practices, policies and procedures
  • Assist in Safety training, orientation, PPE requirements and record keeping through Training Manager software
  • Spend 10% of the time on the plant floor out in the departments to support them.
  • Work closely with Managers and Supervisors to support their daily administrative responsibilities
  • Standardize processes and programs
  • Support the administrative activities in Extrusion, Anodizing, Paint, Packing, Material Handling and Shipping as needed, ie: ordering supplies, coordinating metal, data collection, reviewing schedules, organize new hire orientation, assist in department safety activities

 

Skills, Knowledge, Requirements:

  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job
  • Three (3) years of experience in a plant manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, internal customers and external resources
  • Competent in core software programs, ie: Microsoft office word, excel, powerpoint
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and become proficient in software utilized in our MP group ie: Training Manager
  • Ability to problem-solve, multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented,  and able to work independently
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative
  • Familiarity with organizational hierarchy and seeking out the appropriate employee resources
