Job Summary
This position is responsible for all aspects of the freight for multiple locations within National Pipe and Plastics.
Job Responsibilities

Schedule freight to be picked up and delivered

Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments

Providing shipping and delivery details to customers

Negotiating rates and delivery time lines to meet company goals and metrics

Building partnerships with carrier representatives

Document all times for pickups and deliveries

Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
-
Handling customer complaints and inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels if needed

Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions

Making special shipping arrangements as necessary

Tracking and fixing shipping errors

Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards

Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Job Requirements
-
High School Diploma or equivalent in academic background and experience or training, preferred
-
Previous office experience required at least 1 year preferred

Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment

Detail oriented with a dedication to continuous improvement and team building

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
-
Ability to work with other company administrative, production, and technical personnel at all levels to achieve plant and corporate goals

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Compensation:

The hourly pay rate is $18-$23/hr
