About the role


We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Infrastructure Service Manager to join our IT team based in Amsterdam.

This is an exciting & challenging managerial role with a pan European scope, that monitors and manages all vendors delivering services within our Cloud & Datacentre towers. It is accountable for ensuring that vendors are performing in line with their contractual agreements and defines the overall strategy of how all vendors interact with our IT Infrastructure and Operations team, in order to fulfill the needs of the business. This engagement will be delivered through a combination of industry best practice and innovative technology solutions.


Main responsibilities


In this role you’ll be:


• Accountable for the efficiency of infrastructure relating to the Cloud & Data Centre Services function across the business, using a continuous improvement approach to achieve optimal outputs.

• Responsible for some key services within Cloud & DC e.g: Archiving, Audit/SOX Compliance, Azure Security Service, A Public Cloud Services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS), AV solution, Linux.

• Responsible for ensuring that vendors are aligned and prioritized to meet the OLAs and SLA's required by the business.

• Accountable for developing the strategy and adopting best practice to deliver a highly resilient and high-performing offering for Cloud & Data Centre Services.

• Responsible for determining the best solutions and tools to ensure appropriate controls, protection, visibility, and efficiencies exist in all relevant vendor services.

• Accountable for consistently improving performance, reliability, and control costs over time, based on operational metrics, with the help of vendors where applicable.

• Responsible for the delivery of projects in these areas and ensuring that they meet both business requirements and security standards.


Key stakeholders in this role include the IT leadership team, the Cloud & DC Services function, Cross-functional IT teams where applicable and senior business leadership as required to support projects when required.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Demonstrable experience in IT Support in an MS Azure (incl Security) environment supplemented by experience in Public Cloud environments (Cloud GCand/orAWS is desirable).
  • Service Management / ITIL / Project Management experience is desirable.
  • Proven experience of working in a federated matrix model.
  • Required Education: Degree level or other relevant education.
  • Language: English (fluent) Second European language (preferred)
