Job Summary
Monitor and ensure that the correct blend of materials and additives are being used at the presses per product requirements. Monitor and ensure proper material levels are maintained throughout system.
Job Responsibilities
- Initial startup and check list – Ensure any special instructions are carried out
- Maintain required fill levels for all silos, surge bins and hoppers. If an alarm sounds, take required actions
- Maintain vacuum/pump systems through 5S/PM’s
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment or coordinate needed repairs with Maintenance
- Monitor all Boxes/Totes/drums and augers and fill, empty or replace as necessary
- Send any non-conforming materials to Mix Area for disposition
- Return any unused materials, additives, or color to their proper inventory storage location
- Ensure all material has proper labels and that rejected material is tagged properly
- Clean blenders, break down boxes and pallets, clean material spills when needed
- Maintain assigned 5S/PM areas and/or equipment daily or weekly as needed
- Complete all logs and paperwork
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience may be considered
- Previous hi-lo experience
- Basic math, reading, writing and comprehension required
- Must be a team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
- Ability to work alone productively with minimum direct supervision
- Ability to multi task by handling diverse assignments concurrently
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch and reach across - approximately 80 times per day
- Ability to safely climb straight ladders
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours
- Ability to distinguish color
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as needed
