Position Overview

The Fleet Operations Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support for company fleet and equipment assets. This role ensures all fleet, rental, and equipment records are accurately established, maintained, and updated across multiple systems.

 

Wage Range: $27-$30 per hour, dependent upon experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Set up and maintain fleet and equipment records across CMMS, Hexagon, and other systems
  • Process equipment changes, rentals, returns, and departmental updates
  • Maintain DOT, registration, title, and insurance documentation
  • Register and title new vehicles and equipment
  • Manage permits, decals, and regulatory filings
  • Coordinate disposal and transfer processes and ensure proceeds are received
  • Maintain fleet compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Support accounting with disposal and fleet financial reporting
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets and fleet data accuracy
  • Assist with special projects as requested
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 2–4 years of fleet, equipment, or operations experience preferred
  • Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.

 

Work Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; work well in a team. 
  • Strong skill in planning and organization
  • Ability to summarize data from different sources into a concise format that can be easily expanded and communicated to support initiatives.

 

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person.
  • Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
