Plant Superintendent (Vermont):   We are seeking a safety minded, qualified, motivated individual to ensure safe and efficient operation of the West Lebanon, Newport New Hampshire and Vermont plants.  The essential duties include, but are not limited to:  coordinating efforts with Plant Manager on day-to-day plant operating schedules and delegation of resources and manpower.  Assist Plant Foreperson with maintenance schedules, operational costs and oversee capex projects to ensure they are on time and on budget.   This position will be based out of Barre, Vermont. 

Classification: Year round weekly salary.

 

 Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Perform necessary maintenance and repairs, including welding and fabrication as required.
  • Have the ability to set expectations and hold co-workers accountable.
  • Work collaboratively with the other lines of business to maximized operational efficiencies for Pike Industries
  • Effective use of computer and software systems for ongoing production (Daily Plant Summary Report).
  • Utilize the Performance Scorecards to maximize rap utilization, reduce waste, improve energy efficiency and maximize plant availability
  • Accurately write, type, and enters information into computer to prepare correspondence, and/or other documents as necessary.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi task and make good decisions.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of Mine, Safety, Health, Regulations
