Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a dynamic AR Processing Team Lead to join our shared services team. This role involves leading a sub-team responsible for general AR activities, driving performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, customer service, and process improvement skills.

 

What Shared Service Does:

 

A Shared Services Center (SSC) centralizes critical business processes, streamlining operations, reducing costs, and delivering consistent quality. By consolidating areas such as finance, procurement, payroll, and reporting, SSC eliminates duplication, frees time for strategic priorities, and fosters efficiency. SSC's primary functions include:

 

  • O2C (Order-to-Cash): Manages the customer journey from order to payment, driving smoother revenue processes.
  • R2R (Record-to-Report): Enables robust financial reporting and accounting.
  • P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely vendor payments and strong supplier relationships. Manages the Travel and Expense program.
  • Center of Excellence: Drives innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Payroll (Hire-to-Retire): Ensures accurate, compliant employee payments.
  • Shared Services enables companies to focus on growth and strategic goals while maintaining operational excellence.

 

Job Summary

 

  • We are seeking an experienced AR Processing Team Lead to manage and inspire our Accounts Receivable (AR) Processing team. This role involves overseeing AR activities, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and supervise the AR Processing sub-team.
  • Manage key performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Promote continuous improvement and efficiency in AR processes.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support external audits and fraud identification.
  • Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain familiarity with SAP and chart of accounts.

 

Team Management

 

  • Collaborate with Opportunity to Cash Lead and other managers.
  • Contribute to talent management strategy.
  • Enhance team performance and employee retention.
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development sessions.
  • Coach employees for professional growth.

 

Performance Management

 

  • Drive process improvements and automation.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and risk management.
  • Develop partnerships with business representatives.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to maintain service levels.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in finance and accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years with SAP or equivalent ERP.
  • Minimum 3 years leading others in a shared services environment.
  • Familiarity with building products/construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
