Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Master Data Supervisor to lead a sub-team within our Master Data Shared Services group. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of master data across key domains, including customer, vendor, material, and chart of accounts. The position focuses on driving operational excellence, efficiency, and automation in a shared services setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in master data management, strong leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach to delivering value through master data services.
What Shared Services Does:
A Shared Services Center (SSC) centralizes critical business processes, streamlining operations, reducing costs, and delivering consistent quality. By consolidating areas suchas finance, procurement, payroll, and reporting, SSC eliminates duplication, frees time for strategic priorities, and fosters efficiency. SSC's primary functions include:
- O2C (Opportunity-to-Cash): Manages the customer journey from order to payment, driving smoother revenue processes.
- R2R (Record-to-Report): Enables robust financial reporting and accounting.
- P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely vendor payments and strong supplier relationships.
- Center of Excellence: Drives innovation and continuous improvement.
- Payroll (Hire-to-Retire): Ensures accurate, compliant employee payments.
- Shared Services enables companies to focus on growth and strategic goals while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Master Data Shared Services sub-team, ensuring data accuracy, cleanliness, and integrity across domains such as customer, vendor, material, and chart of accounts.
- Establish and enforce data governance principles, policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor master data quality metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to ensure operational excellence.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation and efficiency to reduce manual tasks.
- Collaborate with business leaders, data stewards, and other stakeholders to align master data strategies with organizational objectives.
- Support enterprise-wide data governance and foster partnerships with data stewards and data custodians.
- Address escalated inquiries and disputes related to master data, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Coordinate external audit efforts and provide master data insights while ensuring data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP in a shared services environment.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a shared services or master data-related role.
- Experience in finance and accounting functions (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of master data management principles, data governance, and data quality standards.
- Proficiency in SAP, including enterprise data maintenance (e.g., customer, vendor, material).
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with technology-enabled process improvements and automation initiatives.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid role with 3 days in office and fully in office for the first 6 months.
- Normal office working conditions with a quiet noise level.
