Job Summary

 

The Commercial Performance Specialist will play a crucial role in driving strategic decisions and maximizing business performance for Barrette Outdoor Living. The role will conduct financial analysis, market evaluation, support performance reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling are essential. You’ll contribute to key business strategies, prepare insightful reports, and identify growth opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategies.
  • Evaluate market trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to drive business insights.
  • Assess business and identify growth opportunities.
  • Engage with leadership to conduct analytical reviews on business performance and help derive insights.
  • Maintain current pricing tools and develop new tools as needed.
  • Promote adoption of analytical tools to help understand impacts of price, cost, volume and mix on business performance.
  • Own channel pricing overview, maintaining consistent pricing within Barrette Outdoor Living while ensuring market competitive pricing.
  • Understand and review raw material cost impacts to recommend pricing changes based on cost increases/decreases.
  • Own the maintenance and periodic updates to pricing lists.
  • Support reporting throughout the company as needed helping to develop automated and insightful analytics.
  • Assist in the development of annual strategic plans.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years in an analytical role, preferably finance or pricing specific
  • Proven experience in commercial analysis or a similar role
  • Experience creating financial models
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Distinctive analytical, presentation development, and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to problem solve creatively

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Intermediate with analytic tools Excel, Tableau, Power BI
  • Ability to influence others without direct management or oversight
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
  • Experience creating and leading multiple projects
  • SAP and Building materials experience
  • Ability to operate in fast paced and changing environment
