Position Overview

 

CRH Americas Materials is currently recruiting for the position of a Contract Management Internship within the Procurement Excellence team based in Atlanta, GA. The successful intern candidate will support with the analysis of the current state of the contract management practices across the Americas business. Upon analysis the candidate will propose a future improve and standardize process.

 

This is a paid full-time internship with a 6-month minimum commitment, and based out of the CRH Americas Materials headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

  • Supports the SRM Manager with the implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and contract process framework for the Americas region.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to map and understand contract process problems and opportunities.
  • Prepares, maintains, retrieves, and communicates records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements.
  • Supports the category and regional teams in monitoring and enforcing contract compliance.
  • Works closely with the operational procurement teams and stakeholders to understand and analyze contract indicators/process to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates trainings for contracts related topics locally.
  • Engages with other global procurement teams to identify and support continuous improvement of processes and/or systems.
  • Runs reports from multiple systems/ERPs to validate data presented in central systems.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree preferably in a business-related discipline, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Legal Studies or other related field.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Procurement/Purchasing/E-Sourcing experience is preferred.

 

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Ability to learn contract management work processes and perform related tasks.
  • Ability to work on teams as well as on individual assignments.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
