The Credit Administrator is responsible for new and existing customer credit reviews, processing and evaluating credit line increases, and working closely with team members and management to monitor and ensure compliance with credit and collection policies. This person must be able to initiate, maintain and grow solid relationships with our supply chain, sales, and finance teams to assess existing processes and procedures for improvement opportunities related to account management to minimize operational risk while improving cash flow for Oldcastle Infrastructure. This position will report to the Credit and Collections Manager.


Essential Duties


  • Supports the Credit and Collections Manager in administration of credit policy & procedures for the Oldcastle Infrastructure business.
  • Completes timely credit reviews and credit line increases, in accordance with established department service level agreements.
  • Presents recommendations on credit-worthiness of new customers and existing customer credit line increases and annual reviews, maintaining a high level of customer service to efficiently support sales and operations.
  • Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning the financial condition of customers based on risk scoring industry standard tools such as DNBi and Experian credit risk analysis.
  • Develops relationships with plant managers and sales representatives to ensure upstream transparency for potential credit line increase requirements and potential account hold issues..
  • Responds to email and telephone inquiries from customers and sales surrounding credit line increase requests.
  • Reviews reports and provides feedback to sales, supply chain, and operational teams to drive action within the business on accounts requiring attention and more detailed resolution.
  • Assists in developing new credit procedures and policies as required.
  • Collaborates with collection specialists to ensure maintenance of bond and lien rights in accordance with department policy to minimize and control risk and potential for write-offs. Stays aligned with collections specialists as to status of severely past due accounts
  • Supports ERP and technology upgrade projects related to credit, collections, and A/R as required.
  • Other responsibilities as defined from time to time by the Credit and Collections Manager.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of related experience in credit, including experience with industry standard risk scoring tools (e.g. DNBi, Experian)
  • Prior Collections and A/R experience, including knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of bond and lien laws a plus
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization, customers and vendors
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in very detailed work environment, highly detail oriented
  • Proficient in PC skills, accounting software, Internet based programs, MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Prior experience with Akritiv order to cash tool a plus
