Summary

 

The Customer Master Analyst is responsible for managing the ongoing quality, accuracy and completeness of corporate master data across the organization.  They ensure master data integrity in the ERP and other key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.  Assist in standardizing processes to streamline efficiencies while ensuring proper audit trail.  The analyst also handles data quality reports to ensure data standards are being met - identify, investigate, and resolve data gaps, finding opportunities for process improvements. This position works very closely with the Billing, Credit, Collections, Customer Service, IT, as well as Commercial Teams including Sales, Sales Support, and Operations.

 

Essential Duties

 

  • Processes master data requests in line with contractual agreements and respond to queries in a timely fashion.
  • Understands the impact of master data within the organization and systems for applicable data domains.
  • Updates the ERP and other key systems for Customer master data for new or existing customers
  • Make customer name and address changes in systems
  • Work with credit to determine set up needs
  • Maintain the customer information within the framework of the policy
  • Work with team on major projects including setting up new ship to and bill to locations and updating data fields
  • Conduct periodic data cleaning to deactivate customers based on company policy
  • Assist credit dept. when needed including pulling credit applications and other backend support
  • Assist in the cleanup of existing customers in ERP based on new policy and process.

 

 Requirements 

 

  • Associates Degree and or a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Manages multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking.
  • Organized methodical application of established data governance standards
  • Comfortable pushing back with customers and stakeholders to protect the integrity of the data management process.
  • Inquisitive and thorough in approach
  • Displays a passion for working in master data management.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to deal with high levels of complexity, change and evolving processes, often at short notice.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work and communicate well with group. 
  • ERP maintenance experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel.
  • Construction Industry knowledge is a plus
