Position Overview

Oldcastle Infrastructures Plastics & Composites (P&C) business goes to market primarily through the distributor channel.  The Director of Distributor Channel Management, reporting to the Vice President – Commercial, is focused on distributor channel strategies and tactics to
facilitate the growth of P&C product sales through the distributor channel across all of our end market segments – Water, Irrigation, Electric C&I, Communications, and Electric Utility.


Key Responsibilities

The Director of Distributor Channel Management will lead our IPG Plastics & Composites channel strategy and execution, managing our top-to-top engagement with our key distributor partners and developing & implementing the tools, process, and programs to enhance our brand equity in the distributor channel across all of our served markets.   The Director of Distributor Channel Management will work at both a strategic and tactical level in collaboration with our Sales, Customer Operations, Marketing and P&L Operations teams.

Duties include

 

  • Create, implement and maintain overall strategic direction for our distributor channel across all markets including Utility, Communications, Water, Irrigation, and Electric C&I.
  • Manage our key top-to-top relationship activities and initiatives with our major distributor partners.
  • Lead the development of distributor partner programs to enhance Oldcastle’s competitive channel position.
  • Develop individual strategic growth plans for select distributor partners and be the driver of these initiatives both internally and with the distributor.
  • Collaborate with our market based Sales teams to implement local and regional distributor channel strategy in support of sales goals.
  • Manage the key distributor channel processes, analytics & reporting, and activities in support of the Sales & Customer Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Marketing & Marketing Communications to develop marketing resources targeted to the distributor channel.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the distributor industry to inform and drive effective marketing and sales strategies.

  • High initiative and results driven; an entrepreneurial self-starter who operates with speed, simplicity, and passion to succeed.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years professional experience, with 3+ years in channel management preferred.
  • Experience with manufactured products for infrastructure construction in the Energy, Water and/or Communications market segments preferred.
  • Travel is expected to be 30-50%
