Job Summary

 

The Financial Analyst Intern – Capital Projects assists with financial analysis activities for capital construction and equipment improvement projects for the Infrastructure Products Group (IPG). This position will assist in the financial analysis of assets as it relates to construction and facility improvement projects throughout the group. You will be working alongside the business functions including corporate finance and performance teams to deliver project performance data.  As a Financial Analyst Intern for the Capital Expenditures (CapEx) team, you will help create project management reporting and financial performance metrics. This position is expected to start around May 2025 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with financial analyst and project managers to develop and analyze project business cases.
  • Assist with analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.

  • Help improve existing CapEx project management financial reporting capabilities.

  • Work with project managers to develop CapEx financial information to support project analysis.

  • Assist with developing capital asset management capabilities as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Educational path leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional initiatives, meet deadlines, and execute on deliverables.

  • Willingness to learn and work on multiple projects.

  • Use and understanding of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Working knowledge and experience with project management software programs.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
