Job Summary

 

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance team. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance of the National Group and work closely with the Finance teams and business leaders across the National Group, assist in the analytics process, and help inform and influence critical strategic financial decisions. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with strong Excel, financial modeling, analytics and communication skills.

 

This is a full-time position and is based at our Atlanta corporate office (hybrid) with occasional travel to our other National company offices. Oldcastle APG is operates a decentralized, diversified structure, letting you work in a small company environment while having the career opportunities of a large enterprise.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Help prepare the company financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.

  • Create, manage and automate actual vs forecast, budget and prior year reports to be reviewed monthly/quarterly with P&L owners.

  • Prepare, analyze and report key financial and operating metrics. Identify trends, track progress and make recommendations.

  • Help overseeing linkages between financial systems of record to budgeting software and broader business intelligence resources.

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management.

  • Monitor the company orders, sales, profit, and cash against the targets.

  • Review and update pricing, cost and expense trend reports, and analyze variations ensuring alignment with the forecast.

  • Take on accounting tasks when required including monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation analysis.

  • Assist Operating Company Controllers in preparation of monthly reporting package.

  • You enjoy building relationships at all levels and are a self-starter who is action-oriented, accountable and conscientious.  

  • You have the ability to organize multiple responsibilities and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner while adapting to changes in priorities.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • MBA / CPA is a plus or working towards either.

  • 2+ years FP&A /Finance/Accounting experience, manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Advanced Excel and data skills, exposure to business analytics.

  • Highly personable, effective communicator who can craft positive, trust-based relationships across the company. 

  • Experience with M3, d/EPM or other budgeting software, ServiceNow, Tableau, or Hyperion a plus.
