Job Summary

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Finance team. The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will contribute to oversight of the processes for budgeting, financial forecasting, business unit analysis and variance analysis. This position will report to the SVP of Finance and output from the team will inform and influence critical strategic financial decisions. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with strong Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, analysis and communication skills.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Be a key contributor in a critical role that analyzes trends within Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and margin

  • Support the business across the spectrum of financial activities including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning

  • Prepare, analyze and report key financial and operating metrics. Identify trends, track progress and make recommendations

  • Take a leadership role in overseeing linkages between financial systems of record to budgeting software and broader business intelligence resources

  • Assist with and manage various ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions

  • Monitor the company orders, sales, profit, and cash against the targets on a weekly basis

  • Review and update cost and expense trend reports, and analyze variations ensuring alignment with the forecast

  • Responsible for Working Capital and cash flow analysis

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Possesses appropriate technological skill set

  • You are comfortable analyzing and manipulating large data sets

  • You work well in an autonomous, fast-paced, and fun environment

  • You are comfortable presenting information to all levels of employees, including senior leadership

  • A proven track record in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable

  • Interested in business operations and how to measure and manage key metrics

  • The ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately

  • A proven track record of building relationships at all levels within the organization

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and present data

  • Operations and commercial literacy

  • Ability to organize multiple responsibilities and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner while adapting to changes in priorities

  • Detail and process oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow up skills
