Position Overview

 

We’re seeking an experienced IT Program Manager, with experience implementing SAP, to join our growing Information Technology organization.  Oldcastle Infrastructure is undergoing an exciting business and technology transformation and needs a strong Program/Project manager to help successfully navigate a major ERP implementation.  The more thorough understanding of SAP, end to end Supply Chain & Financial business processes, quality assurance best practices, and organizational change the better.  In this position, you will construct, define, execute, monitor, and report on all aspects of an ERP implementation. You must follow best practices, align with company goals, and utilize expert communication skills to lead others in a cross functional team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Work with the appropriate business stakeholders to review and understand the business’ expectations, evaluate requirements, and propose options.
  • Hold accountable all vendors associated with assigned projects; including consulting partners, managed service providers, and independent contractors.
  • Provide visibility to the business and centralized Information Services team for ongoing IT initiatives.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organization and with business unit personnel and management to affect a unified and customer-focused End User Service experience.
  • Measures, monitors and reports on project performance with defined metrics. Plans and executes remedial actions when project is off track.
  • Tracks, monitors, and communicates status for project budget.
  • Removes roadblocks for the project team and finds resolutions to issues and conflicts. Escalates to project sponsor or management as appropriate.
  • Provides the required level of status reporting to management and stakeholders. Meets regularly with sponsor or project advisory board to review project progress and receive directions.
  • Proactively identifies and analyzes project risks. Formulates and executes mitigation and contingency plans. Works with other project managers to resolve inter-project conflicts or dependencies. Escalates when appropriate.
  • Ensures project planning, execution and reporting following established processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices within the organization. Host, attend, and support all required reviews.
  • Works with the project team to produce and maintain all required project documentation. Completes all required documentation audits.
  • Manages vendor relationships related to assigned projects, monitors their performance and oversees their resources as needed. Supports contractor interviews as needed.
  • Works with resource managers to assemble and maintain the appropriate team of resources to meet project needs and requirements.
  • Maintains an awareness of new project management techniques. Assists management with the continuous improvement of project management processes and standards when requested.

 

Required Skills/Education

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10+ years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology and project management
  • Relevant experience managing large technology projects consisting of cross functional teams within a global manufacturing organization
  • Experience working with offshore teams/implementation partner teams
  • Project management of teams across multiple functional areas and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Experience with project management for ERP system implementation; specifically, SAP is required – ECC/S4 HANA is preferred.
  • Functional expertise in SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, FICO
  • Prior experience with modern business application tools like ServiceNow, Visio, SharePoint, & Teams
  • Expert level experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project
