Position Overview

 

The network engineer is responsible for the operational health of our Enterprise network. This individual supports all our internal and external networks, wireless networks, mobile networks, and telephony environments. This individual will ensure that all solutions with related procedures adhere to organizational standards, controls and best practices according to industry standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) 

 

  • Accountable for the maintenance and support of all company connectivity including internal LAN, external WAN, Wireless Networks and Mobile Networks
  • Participates the evaluation, designs, and implementation products/solutions covering connectivity in all locations the data centers, and the cloud
  • Deploys networking solution like switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, phone systems and other related hardware.
  • Configures, tests and maintains LAN/WAN/WWAN equipment and services
  • Provide support for the company’s telephony and mobility infrastructure
  • Provide overall Information Technology Engineering competencies across all areas of Information Technology (i.e. cloud, compute, storage, network, security)
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of operational service for all networking Infrastructure
  • Drives Continuous Improvement
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT team members on problem resolution

 

Qualifications

 

Sufficient education, training and/or work experience required to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills

 

Education/Knowledge/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar preferred

  • A Microsoft Azure networking, CCNA, CCNP, or Palo Alto certification is desired
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, FortiGate and Meraki engineering Knowledge
  • 5+ years experience in network engineering
  • 3+ years Supporting multiple location enterprise environment
  • 2+ years Cloud networking Experience
  • Working familiarity with VMWare, Windows Operating Systems, DNS, Load Balancing, DHCP and other infrastructure management applications

 

Skill Requirements

 

  • Strong Oral and Written Communication including Presentation Skills
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL Best Practices, Including Change and Incident Management

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required by business needs
  • This position is open to remote working
