Position Overview

 

The President of Water Solutions, reporting to the Division President, National Solutions, will provide leadership for the Water Solutions business unit in the Americas aligning resources to strategy, maximizing conditions for impact and scale, and enabling operating company leaders to drive forward successful strategies for impact and excellence.  This position will support a top performing safety culture, embrace commercial and operational excellence, drive the development of new opportunities, and build and develop effective teams across the business to achieve superior financial performance and growth.  The Water Solutions business unit currently generates approximately $700M in revenue and employs approximately 500 employees.

 

 Specifically, the individual will:

 

  • Be accountable for the full P&L of the water management businesses in the Americas.
  • Utilize creative and strategic agility to evaluate existing and emerging market and product opportunities.
  • Develop strategy and roadmap for adjacency growth through M&A and innovation.
  • Drive organic growth from solutions strategy execution and new market development.
  • Utilize acquisitions to fill product gaps, expand market share and grow the addressable market – develop relationships with key acquisition targets, generate business cases and strategic rationales, execute due diligence efforts, and successfully integrate acquired businesses.
  • Develop and successfully execute capital investment plans that add new growth opportunities and drive efficiencies.
  • Assemble, inspire, and develop leaders and great teams within the business.
  • Collaborate with other resources within CRH to expand potential solution selling opportunities.
  • Drive a customer-oriented organization that deepens relationships and builds sales.
  • Hold teams accountable to ensure desired profitability, efficiency and operational outcomes are achieved.
  • Instill a high-performance safety culture.
  • Create an environment that supports inclusion and diversity.

Requirements

 

  • 10+ years of progressive management/executive experience in water infrastructure or related industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • MBA/eMBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading operations and sales strategies to exceptionally high levels of safety, quality, and customer service performance
  • Sales or marketing management experience or a track record of growing market share, introducing new products, entering new markets and/or performing M&A activities.
  • Excellent analytical, financial and communication skills
