Deliver to One-CRH Vision: Drive, Implement & Support One-Procurement Language across ERP Systems

 

The Procurement Master Data Specialist will be responsible for implementing, documenting, executing and continuously improving the processes of accurate data entry and maintenance in alignment with CRH ERP Source systems. Ensuring consistency with business objectives, our many local ERPs as well as (global and regional) IT strategy and its continuous improvement efforts . Be a key accelerator & ambassador for a robust user friendly, efficient and effective 'digital procurement' experience. Collaborate with local procurement teams, Source System administrators & Master Data Stewards to deliver the spend data quality that meets the expectations of Group Procurement and our key stakeholders and internal customers. The data management areas maintained include: Standardization of material/item & service master, category/commodity tree, Company Org chart, vendor master (supplier portal). This position is currently a Hybrid role, working two days or more in the Atlanta, GA Headquarters.

Category Tree/Commodity Tree Implementation: Key Activities

 

  • Commodity/Category Tree implementation for Digital Readiness & data integration
  • Understand business context and constraints to be able to considered a thought leader & influencer
  • Ability to understand Technology landscape, dependencies to be able to create and offer custom solution to meet business objectives
  • Understand principles of Category Management and application to the master data universe
  • Hand-on support in activities leading to implementation: Ambassador for Procurement to support with implementation-Including testing and quality control
  • Implement best-practices in Master Data Processes to manage, implement and hand-on support to cleanse, update and process implementation for Material Groups, Material & Service Masters
  • Periodic check & provide feedback on data quality to Management team over 3,6 and 12 months
  • Collaborate) & communicate closely with other employees (Procurement at group and on OpCo level, Finance, IT) as needed to resolve questions, issues, etc. Process requests via the ticketing system in various topics - within the agreed timelines
  • Work with manufacturing locations vendors or other procurement team members to resolve missing data issues so that items, vendors, are processed in a timely fashion
  • Seeking feedback and drive continuous improvement in process and implementation steps
  • Training & Collaboration with Local MDM teams
  • Ability to think of next steps in terms of long-term vision of creating/Supporting One-CRH Material Master

 

 

Vendor/Supplier Master Management: Key Activities

 

  • Understanding the scope and context of Vendor/Supplier Master from the Procurement & Supplier Risk
  • Ability to understand and work with existing & future tools including assuming administrative responsibilities for Supplier Governance Tools to troubleshoot
  • Understand principles of Category Management and application to the vendor/supplier master data universe
  • Drive testing, user-acceptance of process & tools
  • Hand-on support in activities leading to implementation: Ambassador for Procurement to support with implementation-Including testing and quality control
  • Implement best-practices in Supplier Data Processes to manage, implement and hand-on support to cleanse, update and process implementation
  • Periodical check and cleaning to ensure quality standards and all data fields accurately managed and updated
  • Collaborate & communicate closely with other employees (Procurement at group and on OpCo level, Finance, IT) as needed to resolve questions, issues, etc. Process requests via the ticketing system in various topics - within the agreed timelines
  • Work with manufacturing locations vendors or other procurement team members to resolve missing data issues so that items, vendors, are processed in a timely fashion
  • Seeking feedback and drive continuous improvement in process and implementation steps
  • Training & Collaboration with Local MDM teams
  • Ability to think of next steps in terms of long-term vision of creating/Supporting One-CRH Vendor Master

 

 

Data Acquisition & On-boarding: Key Activities

 

  • On-board & automate data acquisition, quality check and validation for the CRH ERP Systems -
  • Understand Technology and data structure of the Procurement Data warehouse
  • Ability to work with Extract, Transform & Load methodology and tools
  • Create and maintain user tables, segmentation, item groups, item categories etc. Document and maintain Process Flows within the Procurement Data Warehouse
  • Ability to drive increasing levels of Automation of Data Acquisition in collaboration with ERP system administrators
  • Continuous improvement of Data schema, Data Quality Validation (Financial and operational)
  • Continuous improvement of data streams to be acquired
  • Customer facing documents: create and maintain training documents, checklists and smart forms to support internal customers and help improving the input (First Time Right)
  • Collaborate & communicate closely with other employees (Procurement at group and on OpCo level, Finance, IT) as needed to resolve questions, issues, etc. Process requests via the ticketing system in various topics - within the agreed timelines
  • Work with manufacturing locations and vendors to resolve missing data issues so that items, vendors, are processed in a timely fashion
  • Follow-up and escalate in a timely manner in the event of non-compliance of data cadence
  • Run system reports and distribute to appropriate personnel
  • Ongoing data clean up and entry of additional data, monitor master data quality
  • Propose solutions to complex master data related questions for projects
  • Assist End Users with Navigating, Creating, & maintaining Reports in the PDW and advise on best practices on optimal usage

 

 

Qualifications (Specialist)

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required / Master’s degree preferred: information/data science, data management, computer science, supply chain, procurement or related field degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Procurement Master Data experience is preferred; in an international setting is a plus
  • Experience with SAP/Ariba and/or other ERP suites (Preferred)
  • Experience in global/multi ERP organization (desired)
  • Experience with Coupe -eP2P Suite (desired)

 

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must have high proficiency Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
