Job Summary
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the inventory quantities, quality, and on time delivery of raw materials and supplies at multiple factory sites. Responsibilities include creating PO’s, procuring material, optimizing purchasing process, utilizing technology to drive efficiency, and coordinating with plant personnel to fill short- and long-term requirements. You will also work closely with category managers to source alternate suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and provide analytical and reporting support.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensures supply continuity and manages purchased material inventory levels while balancing cost, cost savings, and process efficiency
- Builds and sustains relationships across multiple manufacturing facilities and internal support teams
- Trains and provides expertise in SAP transactions, material parameters, and other team interactions
- Develop external relationships with suppliers by monitoring performance and cost effectiveness
- Provides regular reporting, analytics, and ad-hoc business updates for internal communications
Job Requirements
- Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, supply planning, and consumption patterns to optimize stock levels while minimizing stock-outs
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and technology-driven process enhancements
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics and cost savings
- Implement procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assess their capabilities and evaluate their suitability
- Manage supplier relationships with regular communication, performance tracking and issue resolution
- 7+ years of Supply Chain Management or related operational field experience
- Proficient in negotiation and contract management; project management, value-based decision analysis, and consensus building; presentation and communication
- Proficient in financial analysis, variance reporting, and bid evaluations using SAP and Excel
- Overnight travel up to 25% across the U.S.
