Job Summary

The SAP SD Architect provides support for Sales and Distribution serves as an internal consultant and works with the CoE implementation team. This individual is responsible for identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for SAP application integrated with business process/data and IT infrastructure.

 

Job Location

 

  • This role will be remote based in the US with occasional travel. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage SAP Sales and Distribution implementation, Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Configure the SAP SD system to meet the business requirements.
  • Configure SD module in SAP, prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects, and guide ABAP resources on requirements.
  • Work with SMEs and end-users to determine the functional requirements for the system within the SAP Production Planning.
  • Create detailed systems documentation, test scripts, and presentations.
  • Translate user’s requests into SAP SD application solutions. Analyze systems requirements to define, design and implement system configuration or modifications.
  • Leverage technical expertise to address technology architecture, blueprinting, data analysis, business modeling, technical design, application development, integration, and enablement.
  • Design and development of interfaces and conversion programs to/from existing legacy systems.
  • Define and develop best practices, solution demonstrations, and functional configurations within.
  • Support cutover activities, Provide KT and hyper-care support.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 7-10+ years of experience supporting ERP – Sales and Distribution modules.
  • Should have a good understanding of configuration in SD and Integration points with other modules CRM, PP, MM and FI/CO.
  • Hands-on experience with Master data, Pricing, Sales documents, Projects, order management, Shipping, Transportation, Contracts, Credit management, IDOCs, EDI.
  • Demonstrated leadership of post‑go‑live optimization and minor enhancement portfolios across multiple plants.
  • Strong experience with IT change/release processes and ServiceNow workflows.
  • Comfortable partnering with plant managers, super users, and finance/controllership for compliance‑sensitive changes.
  • Proven track record in blueprinting workshops, Fit/Gap documentation, and functional specs.
  • Experience in supporting end-user testing, training documentation, and hypercare in S/4HANA implementations.
  • Process improvement knowledge gained while working in an organization undergoing a significant operational culture shift
    • Creation and improvement of processes that demonstrate ease of doing business internally and externally
    • Development and implementation of process adherence and data quality adoption metrics
    • Comfortable operating in environment of ambiguity and fast change
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational influencing skills
    • Ability to communicate in a simple, articulate, thoughtful manner to varying audience levels
    • Innovative spirit to work cross-functionally in developing improvement ideas
    • A pleasant, likeable manner while accomplishing challenging results
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technical related discipline
  • SAP Certification in S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

 

Job Compensation

 

  • Salary range of $130,000 to $150,000/year
