Position Overview

 

The SRM Specialist will ensure that implemented procurement processes, technology and enablers are consistent with the business objectives and (global and regional) IT strategy and its continuous improvement efforts. This position will provide a robust user friendly, efficient and effective 'digital procurement' experience.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Supports the implementation of the SRM process and framework in the respective region.
  • Supports the implementation of CRH standards for identifying, qualifying, evaluating, and developing its suppliers.
  • Supports the implementation of CRH standards for developing and managing supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Support the category and regional teams in monitoring and enforcing supplier compliance.
  • Works closely with the operational procurement teams to ensure compliance to the SRM framework
  • Contributes to the further development of the category management toolset in specific areas.
  • Coordinate trainings for SRM related topics locally.
  • Collaborate with other global procurement teams to identify and support continuous improvement of processes and/or systems.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as required by management.

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

 

  • BS required (preferably in business-related discipline, Procurement, Supply Chain or other related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Procurement experience required, preferably in an international setting

 

Work Requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

 

  • Expert knowledge of the use of technology as an enabler for enhancing procurement processes
  • Good business, commercial and financial acumen
  • Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organisation, across all business functions and to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sufficient gravitas and credibility to be able to influence stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external)
  • Strong team player with good planning and organization skills
  • Possess strong analytical skills and solid problem solving skills
  • Demontrated ability to create and deliver presentations and trainings effectively
  • Customer service orientated attitude
