Position Summary


Oldcastle APG’s Strategic Sales business is searching for an aggressive, customer focused, and results-oriented Sales Manager to support the growth and development of APG’s full suite of building materials products across a diverse and competitive customer landscape.  The Sales Manager will be responsible for the execution of building materials sales and service which will deliver consistent revenue and margin growth across APG’s Pro, lumberyard, co-op, and Independent dealer customer channels.  The Sales Manager will also partner with local company sales teams to identify growth and improved customer service opportunities.  This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Sakrete.


Job Description Summary


  • Build strategic and detailed market specific growth plans
  • Rapidly and effectively execute regional and national revenue growth
  • Assess customer needs which can be best served by APG’s scale versus competitors
  • Effectively manage the details of all customer specific programs
  • React and respond with a sense of urgency and a customer-first mentality
  • Frequent collaboration with the Strategic Sales leadership team
  • Timely and proper completion of all administrative tasks
  • Manage the execution of all tradeshow events and activities


Job Requirements


  • Proven success in the building materials marketplace, college degree preferred
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Understand and can interpret financial data, market trends, and recognize opportunities
  • Proven success selling and servicing co-ops, distribution, independents, and/or retail customers
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and timely both written and verbal
  • Willingness to invest in personal development, growth, reflection, and awareness
  • Ability to travel 50% inside North America including overnight
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, e-Commerce, and digital tools
