Position Overview


Oldcastle Infrastructure is recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its newly formed Corporate Accounting function in Atlanta, GA. The Senior Accountant will leverage their working understanding of GAAP / IFRS to perform accounting assignments. This position requires a self-starter who is motivated to implement best practices and create efficiencies. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant’s experience should equip them with the ability to analyze financial information and perform the following duties in accordance with GAAP / IFRS and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.


  • Record weekly, monthly, and other periodic entries into Accounting Software
  • Monitor and reconcile corporate balance sheet accounts, administrative costs, and intercompany monthly, resolve reconciliation issues, and ensure balances are explainable with the appropriate back-up documentation
  • Execute month-end financial close process by performing consolidations, assigned reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis in adherence to deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare and distribute monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting packages as confirmation of and to provide visibility into financial period results
  • Partner with internal & external auditors by preparing (or coordinating across the business to deliver) audit requests and schedules to support the annual and interim external reporting cycle
  • Partner across the business to ensure internal controls are adhered to so that financial statements are fairly and accurately presented
  • Continuous improvement accounting processes, procedures and policies for achieve better efficiencies, accuracy, and GAAP / IFRS compliance
  • Support management during the annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Work on other accounting-related projects and assignments, as directed by leadership




  • 3+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience is required
  • Must have a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles and be able to apply these principles to corporate accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including strong MS Excel skills (e.g., v-lookups and pivot tables)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
  • Exposure to job costing and accounting within a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required
  • Exposure to Dynamics AX / NetSuite / Host Analytics a plus 


Educational / License Requirements


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting required
  • CPA or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • CPA candidacy is required
