Job Summary
The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in turning data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role partners closely with business, product, and technology teams to define metrics, analyze trends, and deliver clear, compelling insights. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and the ability to influence decision-making through data. This role operates deep in the data stack—working directly with data warehouses, transformation layers, and BI tools—to ensure analytics are accurate, performant, and production-ready.
Job Location
This is a hybrid position located at our Atlanta, GA corporate office.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of their business processes and identify reporting requirements necessary to improve visibility into their performance and areas of improvement
- Responsible for gathering requirements by working directly with the Business users, and translating the Business requirements to technical details for the development team
- Partner with the BI Product Owner and BI Architect to deliver the Reporting solutions and Enterprise dashboards by adhering to the development Standards and Best practices defined by the team
- Perform data analysis and provide feedback on data issues & gaps to the BI Architect
- Work with the development team to build Enterprise Datasets and Dashboards
- Ensures the reporting Solution & Features delivered meet the Stakeholder requirements by defining & executing the test cases
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in BI & Analytics features, design, and high-level architecture to apply best practices and guide the requirements gathering process
- Develop and maintain solid understanding of the building materials industry
- Partner with the Team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in analytics, data modeling, and visualization
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field is required
- 4-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics space
- 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing and Supply chain domain
- Good understanding of Data warehouse and BI concepts
- Extensive experience in translating customer requirements into technical details
- Strong Data analysis skills, strong in PL/SQL
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI reporting tools
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) required
- Strong skills in relationship building among business stakeholders & colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt communication and key messages to the
audience. - Excellent documentation skills are required, including requirements, functional design or configuration, test scripts, and process flows.
