Position Overview
CRH Americas Materials is seeking a highly experienced training manager to lead End to End Training for our multi-year enterprise-wide implementation. This leader will lead the training development and deployment for our planned SAP implementations and be accountable for planning, development and delivery of work areas/products listed below:
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Training Development
- Leadership and Coordination of Valuestream (End to End Process) Training Development Leads: Manage and coordinate the Valuestream training development leads, providing weekly guidance and support on key activities and deliverables.
- Spearhead Training Development and Deployment Activities: Develop the overall training strategy and master schedule, while designing and maintaining a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with program objectives and user needs. Take ownership of the training development and deployment activities aimed at addressing learning needs for business users across all Valuestreams. Collaborate with Learning & Development and HR professionals across CRH to ensure programs align with strategic plan and meet program goals
- Own Training Strategy, Lifecycle, and Governance: Define and implement the governance framework for training development & delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Ensure all stage-gate dates for deliverables (job aids, ILT, WBT, exercises, etc.) are met and maintain the training development tracker for visibility and accountability.
- Coordinate End-to-End Training Processes: Lead the training development/delivery team and oversee readiness for Legacy, SAP, and non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless execution across all platforms. Oversee training development schedule and training deployment schedule, clearly communicating timelines and expectations to stakeholders.
- Learning Management System: Collaborate with CRH AMAT Learning & Development team to leverage Learning Management System for training courses, training registration, and reporting on training completion.
- Team Oversight and Execution: Manage day-to-day activities of Valuestream Training Development Leads, Role Mapping support and Training Deployment Specialist, driving accountability and operational excellence throughout the training lifecycle. Collaborate with consultant resources to ensure alignment to training strategy and CRH branding and policies.
Training Deployment
- Collaboration with Valuestream Leads, CRH L&D and HR: Collaborate with workstream leads to schedule role-based training sessions, ensuring content relevance and timely delivery. Provide guidance and support to maintain consistency across all training activities. Collaborate with Learning & Development and HR professionals across CRH to ensure successful implementation of both in-person, virtual, and blended programs
- Scheduling and Communication: Create and maintain the training schedule and master schedule, clearly communicating timelines and expectations to stakeholders. Confirm trainer assignments and manage onboarding to ensure readiness for program delivery
- Training Schedule: Collaborate with workstream leads to schedule role-based training sessions, ensuring content relevance and timely delivery. Provide guidance and support to maintain consistency across all training activities.
- Training Environment Readiness: Ensure all technical and logistical aspects of the training environment are fully prepared to deliver effective, hands-on learning experiences. The focus will be ensuring a stable, accurate, relevant data, and accessible environment that mirrors production.
- Logistics and Facilitation: Collaborate with People Readiness & Adoption Lead on preparation for Train-the-Trainer (TTT) and End User training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in training development.
- Proven experience managing training for large-scale organizational change initiatives, especially SAP Implementations.
Work Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

- Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
- Must be willing to travel 50% or more of the time (unless located in Atlanta, GA).
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Proficiency in project management and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Certification in training methodologies (e.g., ADDII, ACMP) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person.
- Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
- May require sitting for extended periods of time.
Work Environment
- Usually, normal office working conditions. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
- The position may require work outside of normal business hours.
- This position may require up to 50% travel.
