Job Summary


The Shared Services Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee scanning operations, training, payments administration, and AP-related projects.  In addition, this role will work in close alliance with the AP/AR Manager to support all APG entities through coordination and administration of various Accounts Payable functions including complex technical activities and efficiency-driven projects as directed by the AP/AR Manager. 


  • Compile comprehensive USD/CAD/EUR currency defined Payment proposals for US, Canada, and European divisions and ensure an effective system for disbursing timely payments, sustaining accurate and proper controls
  • Oversee correct and timely processing of AP invoice posting, audit reviews, and invoice scanning for linkage to posted transactions
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing daily activities of the AP department; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Assist with internal and external annual and intermittent audit reviews, 1099 reporting, SOX testing, walkthroughs, and compilation of analytic data and support
  • Assist AP Manager with streamlining processes and documentation of policies and procedures
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with deadline targets
  • Other duties and projects as assigned




  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline, strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, enthusiastic team-building attitude amongst stakeholders and peers within the organization
  • Knowledge of AP in an entrepreneurial and decentralized environment with solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and support applications.  Lawson (M3) ERP experience helpful, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting discipline, or equitable combination of training, experience, and education
  • Intermediate/advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUP, and Pivot tables
  • Experience managing a service-oriented AP team in a high-volume processing environment and inter-company operations preferred
  • Experience utilizing and managing document image systems, Concur T&E expense reporting system, and Purchase Card programs a plus
