Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this position will be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of over 30 regional and national tradeshows and external events for our businesses across North America. The primary function of this role includes managing and updating the overall events schedule, as well as owning the organization and execution of each individual show.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and update the overall tradeshow and event plan for our businesses
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop event campaigns that contribute to our growth and brand awareness
  • Coordinate event details with internal teams to ensure events are fully covered
  • Provide clear, consistent, and effective communication of all programs and opportunities to stakeholders in a timely manner, including briefing documents and logistics
  • Develop and implement scalable processes that support communication, documentation, and operations for managing vendors and communication with internal stakeholders
  • Manage lead tracking and ROI measurement
  • Support on-site logistics, travel, and other activities as necessary
  • Create a plan for each show that includes, but is not limited to due dates, responsibilities, tasks, budgets, general information, exhibitor forms & orders, shipping information, literature and promotional materials, promotion opportunities, contingencies plans, and post-show follow up information
  • Develop pre and post-show communication and nurture plans in partnership with the marketing and product teams
  • Manage tradeshows within a specified budget
  • Work with exhibit services and external vendors to ensure all necessary product, displays and relevant equipment is shipped to shows on time
  • Administer the ordering, inventorying, and distribution of branded promotional items
  • Establish relationships with industry associations and events/tradeshow teams
  • Identify and explore opportunities to work with distributors and ISR’s on co-marketing campaigns with the Channel Marketing Manager
  • Plan and implement customer receptions at trade shows
  • Coordinate with the legal department on edits/updates to the liability insurance when necessary

 

 

Skills/Knowledge

 

  • Degree in Marketing/Communications
  • Five years of experience in marketing
  • At least two years of experience in tradeshows
  • Demonstrated event planning and event management best practices
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a track record of successful execution of multiple events with competing priorities
  • Exceptional program, project, and time management skills
  • Highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, accountable with the ability to handle stress and last minute, urgent requests
  • Consultative approach to questions, concerns, and issues
  • Excellent budgeting, negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Project management skills and experience using tools such as Monday.com or Smartsheet
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
