Summary

 

This is an opportunity to join a high growth company and play a critical role in their acquisition growth. The Vice President, Acquisition Integrations is responsible for successful integration of acquired businesses into Oldcastle Infrastructure (OI). Oldcastle Infrastructure is a highly acquisitive company and integrations is a core competency. In addition to successfully integrating multiple acquisitions each year, this role will be responsible for continuously building upon existing best practices to maintain a best-in-class integration function. This individual must possess the business background and intangible skill set of a successful leader, but also the willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute a variety of work.  The position will ideally be located in Atlanta, GA at our corporate office.   We may be open to considering remote internal candidates that are currently employed at a CRH company.  

 

Job Responsibilities

 

The Vice President, Acquisition Integrations will play a lead role integrating acquisitions. They will customize appropriate systems and procedures (from a standard playbook) that can be adapted to a range of integrations based on size, complexity, business division, and business strategy to ensure a seamless integration. This includes helping develop the integration strategy, ensuring all workstreams develop and execute against detailed project plans, and keeping executive leadership informed of results. In doing so, they will work closely with the M&A team, business unit leaders, and functional leaders. They will also work closely with the leadership of acquired companies.  

 

Planning

  • Develops / customizes and maintains an integration plan (playbook) that can be adapted to a range of integrations based on size and complexity, and clearly defines roles, responsibilities, tasks, and key milestones; maintain key learnings from prior acquisitions.

  • Works closely with the Corporate Development team to understand the structure of potential acquisitions and develop an appropriate integration plan.

  • Works closely with Business Units in early stages to develop pre-close and post-close integration plans for acquired company. Provides thought leadership and makes recommendations based on business and corporate needs.

  • Facilitates and leads high level integration meetings with target company senior management.

 

Executing

  • Defines structure and process for integration based on size, type, and complexity of business; assembles requisite integration team with subject matter expertise to manage various integration activities and continuity plans.

  • Leads and prioritizes the implementation of integration activities or major compliance, systems, and administrative initiatives (e.g. EHS&S, ERP, tax, regulatory, payroll & benefits, order to cash, procurement).

  • Drives day-to-day execution of the integration process, including coaching cross-functional teams, leading regular integration team meetings, driving proactive issue resolution, and ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables.

  • Ensures that project scope, schedules, resourcing, and costs are reasonable and achieved.

  • Closely monitors impact on business resulting from integration activities and makes necessary adjustments when integration activities pose threat to key business results.

  • Facilitates development of key tracking metrics aligned with transaction value drivers and synergies.

  • Prepares and presents integration results to executive leadership.

 

Partnering

  • Works closely with Business Unit and Shared Services leadership to align on integration plan for acquisition; ensure requisite resources are committed by leadership.

  • Works with Business Unit and Shared Services to develop and execute an appropriate communication plan and change management strategy.

  • Drives towards a clear and effective hand-over from the Integration team to the Business Unit, based on achievement of pre-defined milestones.

  • Re-engages with key stakeholders from prior acquisitions to ensure integration was fully executed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 15+ of experience in relevant business areas and project management including but not limited to M&A or manufacturing or distribution leadership.

  • Experience integrating systems and processes as a result of business acquisitions and/or mergers.

  • Solid knowledge of project management discipline, tools and analysis.

  • Experience in leading/participating in large scale projects in various hands-on roles.

  • Solid understanding of core business processes and ERP systems.

  • Solid spoken and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Comfortable presenting to executive leadership.
