Purpose of the Role

 

To provide customer-centric solutions for eMobility products and to support the Strategic Verticals Engineering Manager (EM) with planning and implementing design processes and procedures.

 

Job Summary

 

The eMobility Solutions Engineer will work with the EM and Sales teams to produce project solutions and designs to meet the infrastructure demands of developers / OEMs / retail charging stations. Solutions Engineers proactively engage with the Commercial Team to establish and build relationships with civil engineering customers, to function as a technical resource to the Customer and Engineers, and to meet the commercial objectives of the company.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Determine and develop most effective site solution(s) utilizing a suite of eMobility product offerings.
  • Present project-specific solutions to customers and client (OEMs/operators/developers, etc.).
  • Provide design calculations and drawings for integration into site design packages to secure product solutions on site plans.
  • Respond to customers on project-specific inquiries and industry questions.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with  various customers across the eMobility value chain.
  • Assist Commercial Team during the project bid phase by providing design review and confirming appropriate product solution design.
  • Work with EM to drive standard designs with focus on utilization of available form assets across local and regional manufacturing Facilities.
  • Provide project and technical support for submittal drawings, calculations, production, and product delivery.
  • Work with EM to develop and implement engineering standards, processes and procedures for the team.
  • Recording project information accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Performance Measurements

 

  • Backlog management.
  • Produce high-quality engineering deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications) that are consistent with project work scopes and client expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications, and through the development of quality engineering products.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures
  • 3+ years experience with solid technical background in reinforced concrete design
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation including drawings and calculations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator and organized
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the business and achieving organizational goals
  • Collaborator with ability to share thoughts openly, accept new ideas, and get the job done in a highly interactive process
  • Engineer-In-Training license obtained

 

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Professional Engineering License
  • Prior experience with precast design and/or production
  • Experience with: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, RISA3D, SAP2000
  • Experience with infrastructure construction products in the Energy, Water and/or Communications market segments

 

Compensation

 

  • Target salary is $88,000 but have flexibility for the correct experience
  • Yearly bonus eligible
