Position Overview

The Accountant II role will have the primary responsibility of performing various accounting activities within the Shared Business Services team, and in the Northwest Region accounting team.  The purpose of this role is to support both the transactional and operational accounting teams with weekly, monthly, and as assigned tasks.  As proficiency is gained, this position will provide input on controls, new systems, and advice on efficiencies that can be attained.


Salary: $55k-75k Annually w/ bonus potential
Location: Spokane, WA (Relocation Assistance may be available)

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
 

  • Assume responsibility for accounting for the day-to-day operations of ICON Materials.
    • Weekly Production Entries
    • Energy postings
    • Product setups for Pacific Northwest
    • Code monthly AP Bills
    • Job Cost research
    • Update Tier Pricing Files
    • Royalty Entries and Reporting
    • Contract Clearance information gathering
    • Backup for Weekly units submittal
  • Responsible for assigned month end journal entries, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
  • Introduction and eventually responsibility for aspects of the operational and transaction monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Exposure to monthly and annual variance analysis of operational statistics/volumes, as well as cash flow, DSO, DPO, and other items as assigned.
  • Support the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset accounting within the Shared Business Services team.  Which may include account reconciliation, performance analysis, participation in process improvement teams, and developing relationships with the team members.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Masters or CPA Preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years related field experience in a finance/accounting role.
  • Manufacturing or construction accounting background highly desired.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
  • Self-Motivated 
  • Ability to travel to Auburn, WA from Spokane, WA for a few days Monthly / EOM
  • Future Relocation for promotional opportunities highly preferred

  • Work independently without constant supervision.
