Credit and Collections Manager

The position will be responsible for administering and overseeing credit policies and procedures, timely collection of outstanding past due invoices, timely release of customer orders, and timely decision making related to customer orders and resolution of all issues.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining accounts receivable practices and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce DSO days and minimize bad debt write offs.
  • Supervise AR clerk, train, coach and mentor staff.
  • Research and address complex customer issues and ensure issues are resolved fully and in a timely manner.
  • Review and assist with reconciliation of customer accounts and collection matters
  • Research/troubleshoot CC issues – refund, if necessary through a 3rd party system
  • Manage customer credit holds – adhere to company policy
  • Track fraudulent activity, work with IT to improve process
  • Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Account Practices (GAAP)

Education & Experience

  • College degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance required.
  • Professional certification (one or more) preferred (PCS, CMA, CM, CCE or CBA)
  • Spanish speaking language skills would be a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team player with good interpersonal, managerial, and oral/written communications skills
