The General Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Recycled Concrete Operations including the following, but not limited to: communication with production managers, handling all aspects related to plant equipment, site personnel, and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.

 

Recycle Operations consist of 4 fixed plants and 1 train terminal that produce 1.5M tons annually

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

·        The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers

·        Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all aspects of Recycled Concrete Operations

·        Supervise and coordinate crew activities, studying production schedules, and estimating work requirements for completion of job assignments with or beating the job estimate

·        Schedule the mobilization of needed equipment

·        Supervise, coordinate, train, and coach assigned personnel in the completion of jobs and daily work duties

·        Responsible for ensuring that managers supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure that work is being done according to the field layout and the plans

·        Ensure that employees operate and maintain equipment properly to meet production goals

·        Notify the shop of equipment mechanical issues

·        Lead crews in our safety culture and help ensure a safe working environment

·        Maintain time and material records necessary for completing daily job costing

·        Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Education/Experience

·        College Degree in a complementary program or relevant Quarry industry experience.

·        Previous management experience is required

·        12 plus years of Quarry or Plant experience required

·        Leadership training a plus

·        Valid state driver’s license

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

·        Strong written and oral communication skills

·        Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

·        Substantial interpersonal skills

·        Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

·        Priority emphasis and strong time management skills

·        Travel may be required

·        Basic computer and mobile device skills
