Position Overview

The Regional Claims Administrator at Texas Materials Group, Inc. plays an important role in the Risk Management Department, supporting the Regional Claims Manager in efficiently processing insurance claims processes and providing valuable administrative assistance. This hybrid role requires a candidate with a technical background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and unwavering commitment to ethics and confidentiality.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Claims Processing and Management:

  • Process insurance claims efficiently using specialized software systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and under the supervision of the Regional Claims Manager.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all claims, correspondence, and relevant documentation, facilitating timely claims resolution alongside management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to gather necessary information and escalate issues to management to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Utilize strong reporting skills to generate insightful reports and analyze data from business systems for management reporting purposes.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Act as an assistant liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties regarding insurance claims inquiries and updates.
  • Provide regular updates to the Regional Claims Manager on claim status, emerging issues, and significant developments.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers, adjusters, and legal representatives to facilitate claims processing and resolution.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide strong administrative support to the Regional Claims Manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies for effective claims management and risk mitigation within the region.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Support the Regional Claims Manager in project management activities, applying relevant techniques and approaches to enhance departmental efficiency.

Recordkeeping and Confidentiality:

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of insurance policies, claims data, and related documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold strict standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information related to insurance claims and company operations.
  • Exercise discretion and professionalism in all interactions and communications, always demonstrating integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

  • Some college preferred, High School Degree or GED required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a data processing environment
  • Must have excellent alpha/numeric data entry skills.
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions and implement the same.

 

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Able to safely drive a vehicle
  • Travel up to 25% of time
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
  • Regular required attendance and reporting ready to begin work at the designated start time
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
  • Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office (Word and Excel), e-mail and an attitude for learning new software.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and trust.
  • Ability to handle large volumes and a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to meet individual deadlines, as well as work collaboratively with team to help them meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and perform under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • May occasionally lift move/carry up to 15 lbs. and occasionally use exertion forces of pushing/pulling of up to 15 lbs
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to communicate with others by telephone and in-person.

  • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate.
