Accounting Assistant (Belmont, NH):  We are seeking a motivated, professional individual with strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills to assist the Accounting Department.  As the Accountant Assistant, the individual will be responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting the Accountants at Pike and Redimix. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to daily banking. Journal entry processing, fixed asset accounting, tax filings/refunds, reporting and reconciliation, month end preparation, assist with balance sheet account reconciliations, maintain and ensure completeness of documentation/compliance to document retention, assist with periodic corporate audits, data entry, tracking on multiple spreadsheets and working closely with the Accounting Department on any additional tasks or duties. Position based out of Belmont, New Hampshire.  Classification: Year-round hourly position. $22.00/hr and up depending on experience. 

 

Requirements:

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years prior accounting experience.
  • Excellent computer skills including email, Internet, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Possess high level data-entry, organization, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed.
  • Good decision-making skills and detail oriented.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisor with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
