Weekend shift Loader Operator - Cambridge, ON

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products.  Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec. 

We are currently looking for Loader Operator at our Cambridge plant. The incumbent must be available to work on weekend shift, Friday to Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm.

The Loader Operator is responsible for the operation and monitoring of the equipment within their designated area, by ensuring that safety is maintained and that production objectives are met.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load aggregate bins
• Maintenance of the loader
• Participate in production as requested
• Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or products change as requested
• Communicates to competent persons any quality, abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other
• Performs all other related tasks requested by his superior

Qualifications required :

• High School Diploma
• 2 years of experience with a loader or heavy equipment 
• Manufacturing work experience
• Good teamwork skills and initiative
• Safety oriented 
• Good mechanical aptitudes and capability to progress as a machine operator
• Good learning capabilities
• Capability to perform continual physical work in a dusty environment
