Job Summary

This position will revert back to a General Laborer when the plant is not operating.  Operator may be cross trained to operate other processing plants and or bagging equipment during this time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Completion of MSHA Part 46 New Task Training
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to adhere to all safety policies and procedures such as PPE, LOTO, fall protection, etc.
• Working overtime as needed to cover operations, including 12 hr. shifts and weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, sweep, shovel, and work in confined space and at heights as needed
• Operate & Maintain Pelletizing Equipment, Dust Collectors, Elevators, Conveyors and other associated equipment
• Operator to grease all associated equipment according to schedule
• Workplace inspections to be completed and properly documented
• Coordination of the filling and maintaining proper material levels with Supervisors and Operators
• Responsible for quality control of products and taking samples as required
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Maintain environmental standards

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to quality and safety
• Working as part of a team, often with minimal supervision, while maintaining a positive and respectful workplace
• Abiding by company policies and procedures
• Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving
• Manufacturing computer skills for Machine Operation
