Job Summary

 

The Supply Chain Enablement Internship position will support process analysis and improvement for various procurement and supply chain functions with an emphasis in our purchase order management, master data management, and general supply chain functions. As part of learning about the organization and internal processes, supply chain enablement interns will interact with key contacts at manufacturing plants and in sales, procurement, operations, and quality functions with opportunities to build relationships and gain cross-functional expertise and meaningful project experience.

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in enabling efficient procurement processes, and ensuring the supply commitments/business needs are met
  • Document lessons learned from the ERP implementation process, capturing best practices to challenges encountered
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and efficacy of purchase order management and master data management
  • Support recommendations for future acquisitions that are shared with leadership and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for integration
  • Utilize available tools and systems to track and measure the success of planning and integration efforts. Implement reporting tools and metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement

 

Qualifications / Required Skills

 

  • Working towards a bachelor’s or master's degree in any Business field, Business Administration or Procurement/supply chain or other related fields
  • Ability to thrive and lead in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work effectively with others with high ethical standards
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in the office 4-days a week
  • Competitive spirit to contribute to a winning team and desire to innovate and build productive relationships
  • Ability to communicate with employees, peers, supervisors, vendors, and customer is an effective manner
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple tasks/objectives
