Job Summary

 

The Transportation Compliance Manager supports Oldcastle Infrastructure’s transportation and fleet safety and compliance programs for United States based locations.  The role maintains oversight and processes for Infrastructure vehicles and drivers in collaboration with our Operations, HR, and Logistics Teams.

 

Job Location

 

  • This position will be remote based in the United States.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute the transportation safety strategy, with a focus on FMCSA compliance and driver safety.
  • Implement compliance solutions using safety management cycles as it relates to US DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Analyze data and identify areas of opportunity to prioritize site visits.
  • Leverage compliance software tools to drive compliance and safety solutions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Oldcastle Infrastructure as it relates to transportation safety and compliance.
  • Interpret regulation requirements and provide practical implementations for site employees. 
  • Ensure sites maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations and Drug/Alcohol program regulations for Transportation.
  • Create end-user training material relating to Infrastructure best practices for transportation safety.
  • Provide Training to plants and drivers as required on regulations and safety practices.
  • Develop road-map for transportation safety strategy and important milestones.
  • Directly interact and influence the behavior and performance of regulated operators and managers for transportation safety and compliance.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of of experience in a transportation safety role managing a safety and compliance plan.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred but not required.
  • Advanced transportation safety credentials preferred (CTP, CDS, CDT, etc.)
  • Experience with DOT and California BIT inspection processes.
  • Use of 3rd Party compliance providers to manage vehicle and driver files.
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, CSA, Drug and Alcohol programs, and industry best practices for transportation safety and compliance. 
  • Ability to design and create company standards and best practices in the area of transportation safety.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-Starter with ability to achieve goals with limited direction.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate information to target audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% including international locations and overnight trips.

 

Compensation

 

  • Yearly target salary is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00
  • Yearly target bonus is 10%
