Position:  Project Coordinator 
Term: Contract 16 Months 
Location:  Hybrid 
Start Date: May 2024

 

Position Responsibilities:
•    Champion and conduct professional Project Management; provide cost estimates and develop project business cases; prepare and execute conceptual designs; engage consultants;                  supervise construction and contractors; control costs; commission; and project handover.

•    Bring a solutions mindset and strive to provide innovative advantage to the business.
•    Communicate regularly with operations, functional authorities, senior management, and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and prioritization of technical issues and activities.
•    Recommend improvements in areas of energy conservation, product implementation, quality control and construction procedures by assessing existing plants and projects.
•    Develop and implement 5 Year CAPEX and Operating Budgets for major repair and replacement projects jointly with department’s Fixed Equipment Maintenance and Environment teams.
•    Maintain a safe working environment by promoting a strong safety culture, enforcing all safety guidelines, and ensuring compliance under legislation and corporate requirements.
•    Embed Corporate Social Responsibility in day to day thinking and actions.

 

Position Requirements:
•    University degree with discipline in Engineering
•    1 to 3 years of experience in project management or operations management roles
•    Strong communication and time management skills
•    Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
•    Sound computers skills (MS Office, Excel, Power point, Project, AutoCAD)
•    Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
•    Ability to work in an outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise is required.
•    Safety oriented and sound knowledge of OH&S policies, procedures and regulations are preferred.
•    Valid G License
