PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Plant.

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Safe loading of HMA onto trucks through plant operation.

2. Site compliance of company safety standards.

3. Communication and coordination with customers.

4. Repair and maintenance of plant components.

5. Monitoring and recordkeeping of site environmental requirements.

6. Inbound and outbound inventory monitoring and reporting.

7. Completion of all site related paperwork.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Comprehensive operational knowledge of HMA plants.

2. Thorough understanding and compliance with company safety policies.

3. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

4. Mechanical competence with trouble shooting capability.

5. Capacity to work well with customers, management, and fellow employees.

6. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

7. Capability to complete plant and site related paperwork in a timely fashion.

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA, MSHA, and state agencies. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Hardhat, safety glasses, face shield, welding helmet, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, respirator, air monitor, reflective safety vest.
