Job Summary

 

The Role of the National Strategic Accounts Manager is to be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with significant clients. This role will work closely with the Oldcastle business units to meet the needs of the local strategic account branches resulting in a strengthened partnership, improved Oldcastle Brand loyalty, and increased revenue with our national partners.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Partnership and Communication - 40%

 

  • Serves as the liaison between national initiatives and local activations.
  • Positively impacts the performance of local branches and key markets by implementing and managing field support tools, training programs, productivity. initiatives, account and territory planning methodologies, and customer communication.
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
  • Partners with National Account Managers, Marketing team and local Operators to successfully develop sales growth plans and execute locally.
  • Establishes productive relationships with Field Marketing, Operations, and Product Management through consistent communication, collaboration, and alignment of priorities.

 

Service and Support - 30%

 

  • Builds and maintains a strong, collaborative rapport with local Oldcastle business units and their Sales teams.
  • Develops and manages relationships with the customer: Regional Managers and Branch Managers.
  • Proactively manages customer programs and anticipates customer needs while responding with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and offer customer-centric solutions.
  • Manages customer expectations in regard to sales and services provided.
  • Gain knowledge, insight and understanding from key decision-makers regarding customer needs and challenges.

 

Focused Growth - 20%

 

  • Develops short-term and long-term sales plans for focus markets and branches; aligned to meet/exceed national targets.
  • Provide leadership and direction resulting in maximum product sales, exceeding customer expectations, and driving maximum profitability.
  • Communicates and implements National Accounts initiatives within region.
  • Identifies highest ROI and weighs in on strategic needs and growth opportunities.

 

Financial Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting - 10%

 

  • Utilize tableau and portfolio tools to track product performance and make recommendations for the portfolio overall.
    • Aligns with and communicates metrics for success.
  • Offers insights from local sales teams, competitive landscape, VOC and local branches to identify gaps.
  • Utilizes data to inform decision-making locally as well as key insights upwardly.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in the building materials industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales/customer management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels in the organization, strong presentation skills.
  • Up to 50% travel required.
