You can play a vital role in helping OBE be successful on this journey as the Director of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) / Business Partner Organization (BPO).


As the IT PMO/BPO Director, you will guide and grow a team of talented professionals to drive various IT initiatives across OBE. The current team works in fully remote, hybrid, and on-site work arrangements.  You and your team have a unique opportunity to make a major, positive impact on all areas of the OBE business. Partnering with senior level leaders in each Line of Business (LOB), you will identify, coordinate, and implement multiple, simultaneous projects to help them be successful and deliver results.  You will be fully engaged with the project teams by providing oversight and direction and by serving as Program Manager for one or more projects. Additionally, you or your team members will serve as the spokesperson for these projects with regards to overall project status and performance. Audiences for reporting will include LOB and Corporate Senior and C-level leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing project leadership and coaching to IT project teams to ensure stage-gate disciplines are followed, proper resources across multiple functions are allocated, all project targets (schedule, budget, performance, etc.) are met, and quality deliverables are achieved throughout the full project life cycle.
  • Drive identification and resolution of project issues as required including elevating for leadership support when appropriate.
  • Lead project teams and facilitate team meetings and agenda; ensure common understanding of deliverables and open issues for each project phase.
  • Collaborate with various functions and departments across OBE to identify opportunities to drive business growth by designing and executing IT strategies and solutions.
  • Own the stage-gate review and governance process for all OBE IT initiatives; maintain summary program management status information.
  • Present monthly and/or quarterly to LOB and OBE Senior Leadership Team providing update on project progress and performance ensuring tracking and delivery of ROI for all projects.
  • Ensure ongoing improvement and maturing of stage-gate process driving a common “OneOBE” solution and standard for all IT projects.
  • Partner with Chief Digital Officer and Data Analytics team to optimize the use of data to maximize business productivity and performance.
  • Optimize IT PMO / BPO team performance by monitoring and analyzing achievement of objectives, project schedule attainment, and system functionality. Support development of organizational policies and procedures for all IT projects to provide continuous improvement in this area.
  • Collaborate with other IT functions (Infrastructure, Security, Data, Applications, etc.) to resolve design conflicts and inform business process owners of impending risk implications; Develop efficient integrated workflow in coordination with project teams.
  • Drive innovation, automation, and process improvement initiatives through digital transformation (RPA, AI, etc.).  Lead or support value stream mapping of legacy processes and evaluate process improvements and automation to drive efficiency across the organization.
  • Lead all IT investment discussions across OBE and drive adherence to investment, budget, and ROI targets for IT for the year.
  • Facilitate M&A evaluation discussions and support integration of all added businesses into OBE; Drive and maintain standardization of all solutions across OBE through the M&A process.



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 7 years of project and/or program management experience delivering complex technology driven programs in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Knowledge of and experience in stage-gate and related gate review disciplines and IT PMO methodology (Agile, PMI, PMBOK)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical content clearly and concisely so message is easily understood by audiences at various levels of knowledge and understanding
  • Comfortable and experienced in influencer role as well as direct management positions with strong team building and development skills
  • High level organizational and planning skills with strong written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Ability to build relationships across enterprise and drive accountability
  • Strong executive presence, business, process, and technology acumen
  • Experience successfully managing and executing multiple, concurrent projects by allocating limited resources based on project priority
  • Proven record delivering complex business goals with benefits – on time, on budget, and in scope
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and/or other similar methodologies
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on issues encountered during project delivery, design course correction solutions for those issues, then implement and track a “get to green” plan
  • Passion for motivating cross-functional teams to build excitement and drive collaboration and business results through programs and projects
