The individual in this new role will work as Security Architect/Analyst responsible for the architecture, design and support of SAP Security for SAP components such as S4 HANA, SAP Embedded Analytics and SAC, GRC, MDG, CPI , IBP, C4 (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Customer Data Cloud), and Solution Manager etc.  The OBE SAP landscape has multiple interfaces to non-SAP systems.  The incumbent would be responsible for overall security of the end-to-end environment.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and deployment of security solutions that enables the business to achieve their goals while providing proper control.
  • Develop procedures, processes and guidelines that adhere to security standards.
  • Interact with management to discuss and explain issues affecting users, security risks and remediation plans.
  • Analyze processes/end user needs and deliver quality solutions that meet both business and functional requirements, work on end-to-end implementation.
  • Develop functional specifications related to security by coordinating with SAP IT teams and the business.
  • Work with quality and compliance controls and audit groups to facilitate strong controls around user/system access.
  • Assess impacts due to new business initiatives and new business roles requirements and policy updates associated with SAP access.


Other Duties

  • Assist the compliance team with researching access request history when required.
  • Work with compliance and audit groups to facilitate strong controls around user access.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of SAP administration, SAP functional & Integration
  • Experience with single-sign-on technologies and SAML protocol.
  • Must have solid understanding of SAP Security/GRC.
  • Able ability to tactically and effectively handle projects, assess security impact due to new business initiatives and new business roles requirements and policy updates associated with SAP access.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Solid organizational skills: ability to prioritize and follow through on projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other relevant business software.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP and/or eCommerce systems.
  • Experience with cloud application security.
  • Knowledge and experience working with business and other teams such as Service Desk.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - IT-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, MIS, Information Security) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of industry related experience required. 3-5 years preferred.
